The Importance of Female Filmmakers documentary trailer is for a short film I researched, wrote, produced, narrated, and edited as a capstone project for an advanced editing course in 2023.
The project celebrates pioneering women in the film industry, whose contributions were marginalized or erased from mainstream history, highlighting their lasting impact on cinematic storytelling and culture.
On February 27, 2024, I joined my manager, Kali Fantakis, live on Ken’s Den (WSKB Public Radio 89.5) to promote Pine Hill Cemetery’s upcoming fundraising event, Grave Conversations. In my role as Researcher, Scriptwriter, & Promotions Intern, I supported event promotion through research-driven storytelling, messaging development, and public-facing communications to increase community engagement and awareness.

I’m a communications and visual storytelling professional with a nontraditional background in international media production, digital content, and strategic communication. I began my career by pursuing hands-on experience in media rather than a conventional academic path, building a foundation as an on-screen talent, production coordinator, casting agent, and published writer. That self-directed approach led to contract-based work across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, where I collaborated with diverse teams and managed complex, fast-moving creative projects.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked at the intersection of creative vision and operational execution—transitioning into a professional photographer for brands such as Live Nation and Berkshire Hathaway, and a Communications & Multimedia Storytelling Professional collaborating with production companies including BBDO and Spectrevision. My work spans art direction, on-set coordination, wardrobe styling, and brand-aligned visual storytelling. Beyond production, I bring strong technical and organizational skills, including website development, digital content creation, cross-functional coordination, digital asset management, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging communication.

I am a lifelong learner with over a decade of hands-on media experience outside a traditional academic path. In 2015, I earned a Certificate in Web Design from Emory University and continue to design websites for clients on a contract basis. During the pandemic, I relocated to Western Massachusetts to complete my BA in Communication (Media Arts & Analysis) with a minor in Film, graduating summa cum laude from Westfield State University. This transition allowed me to integrate academic study with professional experience and sharpen my focus on strategic multimedia storytelling.
